Zoo-tiful Yoki’s Farm

Zoo-tiful Yoki’s Farm

Pandemic may have stopped all of us from being outdoors, especially for babies and kids. A quick visit to this place is enough to reconnect us with nature and refuel our minds that got used to being indoors for a long time.

Yoki’s Farm is located at Mendez, Cavite. A 1-2 hours drive if you’re from the south. Can be easily searched on Waze or Google Maps. It’s near Tagaytay as well, so you can have a side trip there afterwards.

What’s good at Yoki’s Farm is that they allow babies and kids, no age restriction even to senior citizens. We went there early morning on a Friday, a long weekend holiday for 2021 Lunar New Year. Our tour lasted for almost one and a half hour. Overall experience is nice, it’s a new experience for my 2 year old toddler who loves animals. Seeing her reaction on the animal encounters is worth it. And it’s her first time to go outside for a long time since the pandemic started.

In terms of health protocol, you’ll still feel safe since the property itself is wide, spacious and open area. The tour guide also ensures that phyisical distancing is followed, they don’t crowd the guests in one area. We also saw alcohol bottles and disinfecting mat on each area.

Entrance Fees: P300.00 per person for Farm Tour only; P800.00 for Animal Encounter; Tour Guide Fee P100.00. Babies up to 3 years old are free.

Helpful Tips:

  • Food and drinks are allowed inside
  • Best time to visit is early morning to avoid long lines at the entrance and crowd inside. The cool breeze in the morning is a bonus.
  • You can bring a stroller but not recommended since there are parts wherein you have to climb a few steps. And the farm tends to get slippery & muddy when it rains. You can leave the strollers in the reception area.
  • Bring a small umbrella, though the tour guide also provides 1-2 umbrellas for the group.
  • Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
  • Always check their FB page for updates before visiting.

Update as of today, I checked their FB page and saw their announcement that temporarily only 15-65 years old are allowed to enter their premises.

Here’s a short video of our visit at Yoki’s Farm.

Baby’s Staycation: La Bella

Baby’s Staycation: La Bella

A fresh post from our last weekend’s gala with baby. We saw this place featured at GMA News TV’s – Poptalk, and it got me at first look. We decided to book an overnight stay to celebrate my birthday and baby’s recent baptismal.

La Bella is located at Tagaytay, near the Radar Station and Puzzle Mansion. It’s a developing residential and commercial compound tucked from the main road, just entering their gates will give you that relaxing and posh vibe.

This & the library cafe are closed on Mondays

They have a boutique hotel, residential condo units, restaurants, library cafe, spa and soon they will also have an organic market filled with other unique stuff for sale.

Booking a unit or room at La Bella is easy, but they sell up fast so better plan your trip ahead. Going here on weekdays is better. Dear prefers our unit at Wind Residences since it’s bigger and higher but I kinda liked La Bella’s ambiance more. We had a Sunday-Monday stay but there are still many guests at the compound.

Aside from the establishments found within the compound, the main attraction here is the swimming pool. It has a unique and modern style with a glass design perfect for your “awrahan” pictures haha. They also have a jacuzzi at the hotel’s penthouse, the rental I think costs from Php1,000.00 up and if we visit La Bella again, I’m thinking of trying this one.

The place has a Santorini theme and I’m lovin’ the architectural style, their interiors..it’s uncommon. Since it’s a smaller compound with lots of greens, it has a serene and calming feeling. Opposite to Dear’s preference of being on a high-rise tower and close to well known establishments.

Instagrammable, as what the millennials label on hip and trendy places, that’s what you’ll have during your stay at La Bella. But for me, I just love the place for being so unique and again, relaxing.

Another unforgettable moment on this staycation is our baby’s first swimming, yey! She’s 4 months old now and another experience was added, her parents likes to swim..especially her mom 😂

Baby’s Staycation: SMDC Wind Residences

Baby’s Staycation: SMDC Wind Residences

New parents still with an itch to travel or just roam around, but this time with a baby. And that’s the upgraded version of Kaja Let’s Go Baby! What better way of roaming around is to just have a quick staycation in the metro or nearby provinces.

Our bundle of joy

We all know that raising an infant is no joke, and so we tend to go on the safer side of traveling, let’s just start first with staycations then as she grows, we’ll eventually shift to another levels hehe.

This is a late post, we visited Tagaytay again, the nearest to our place for a holiday or just over the weekend. It was Black Saturday to Easter Sunday, we booked a unit at SMDC Wind Residences via AirBnB app.

We started our Saturday by visiting my favorite chapel in Tagaytay at Little Souls Sisters Convent. Then, we had lunch at Concha’s Garden Cafe since check in time at the unit is still at 2:00pm.

It was Black Saturday, we expected more guests checking in, there was a line and the lobby of Tower 4’s flocked with arriving and leaving guests. It’s already near 3:00pm when we entered the unit, you can see the entire unit’s photos below.

The lobby

We booked this one bedroom unit during Good Friday at Php2,500-3,000 price range, I can’t recall the exact amount since it was Dear who reserved. It’s located at the 8th floor of Tower 4, with Taal Lake’s view.

We did not roamed around the compound of Wind Residences, we just went to the nearby Hypermarket to buy groceries for the night and Pizza Hut on the ground floor. Baby’s 2 months old when we had this trip and so we chose to stay indoors and enjoy the very cold air-conditioning of the unit hehe, simply rest overnight and have family bonding.

Parking area is a bit far from the towers, you’d have to ride their shuttle or just walk like Dear did. The clubhouse and pool area, is near the parking area, and as expected it was flocked again with guests of all ages.Overall, the booked unit is nice, it gave all the necessities one should have during an overnight stay. It’s a spacious unit that can fit even up to 5 persons, they also have 2 mattresses aside from the bed. It has a basic interior and not located in higher floors but good enough for a quick stay. We checked out earlier than 12:00pm to avoid other guests at the lobby.
