Cafe Cristina Bar and Resto

Standard

Cafe Cristina Bar and Resto is a small but terribly great food joint inside the serene resort of Cristina Villas.  It features a simple yet classy architecture concept inside and out.

The cafe has a small menu so you’ll not end up confused in ordering your food or drink. Actually this is one of my favorite amenities of the villa, coz this cafe serves delicious food and drinks! The price range is a bit high compared to other restos or food chain but come on, this isn’t so bad since the ambiance is so calming, I mean you can enjoy your food in a Mediterranean inspired place filled with flora and you can hear birds chirping while feeling the cold breeze of the air. The professionalism of the food attendants is good too, they are well-trained and some of them are “baristas” too. The presentation, smell of the food, very tempting indeed! As far as I can remember they serve:

Pinoy Breakfast (Daing na Bangus, Pork Tocino, Longganisa)served with 1 cup of rice/fried rice, fried egg. Price ranges from Php 130.00 to 150.00pork tocino

Starters (Fried Squid Rings “Calamares”, Chicken Fingers, Sizzling Sisig) served with chips and dips. Price ranges from Php 125.00 to 160.00

Pastas (Carbonara, Meatball Spaghetti, Tuna and Tomato Pasta, etc.) served with 2 slices of garlic bread. Price ranges from Php 105.00 to 130.00

my favorite..carbonara!

Drinks, they serve “ala Starbucks” coffees, teas and other drinks too, they also have fruit shakes, and for the “alcoholics”, they have cocktails, wines, and beer. Price ranges from Php 85.oo to Php 500.00 for the cocktails and wines.

So far, my personal favorite from this cafe is their Carbonara, I think it’s the best tasting Carbonara I ever tasted in my life, hahaha :p

If you got bored and feelin’ stomach full, why not try to enjoy and look at their lots and lots of “knick-knacks small collection of displays” inside the cafe, enjoy the garden scenes outside, they also have “board games” perfect for kids and “kids at heart”, and there’s a billiard table too beside this place.

Cristina Villas Escapade

Standard

Looking for a place to visit this summer but not so far from the city?Well then, “kaja, let’s go”  to Cristina Villas.

We spent an overnight getaway  last April 22 to 23, 2011 to liven things up for the holy weekend. Our schedule:

  • April 22 – Day stroll and endless pictorial at the resort 😀

– Lunch time at Cafe Cristina Bar and Resto

– Night swimming, good thing they have a jacuzzi and a warm big pool

  • April 23 – Early morning stroll and another set of pictorials

– Free breakfast, yey!

Location: Located atop the mountainous city of Antipolo, a sleepy city east of Manila is the Cristina Villas Mountain Hotel and Resort. The city is about 1-2 hours away from Manila, and the resort is another 15 minutes away from the city’s center.

How to go there (by commute):

Manila to Antipolo – From Buendia/Gil Puyat Ave., take a bus going to Crossings (bus fare is Php 20.00 per head). Then from Crossings, go to Greenfield District (near Teleperformance) and there’s a “hidden” terminal behind that building then you can ride the FXs there going to Antipolo Church (FX fare is Php 50.00 per head).

Antipolo Church to Cristina Villas – The FX drivers last stop is Antipolo Church, from there, lots of tricycle drivers are already offering rides to different tourist spots. Ride a tricycle directly to Cristina Villas (trike fare is Php 80.00 good for 2 to 3 persons).

Accommodations: My “Tatay” referred this resort to us, since he always sends passengers here and he did not failed us, this place is great! Cristina Villas is such a cool place to unwind and I must say their staffs and employees are friendly, they have good accommodations, nice and clean amenities, plenty of lifeguards and cottages, they serve delicious food at Cafe Cristina (better read my review about this resto). The whole concept and ambiance of the resort is so serene and beautiful, truly a perfect place to go if you’re looking for some relaxation. You can have some chill time, w/o leaving too far from Manila and it won’t hurt your budget!

What to do at Cristina Villas: Aside from the villa stroll and pictorials, swim under the sun with their 3 big pools: Lower Big Pool w/ 2 Slides *cold*, Upper Big Pool w/ Jacuzzi *warm*, and the newly made Infinity Pool w/ Falls a.k.a Cristina Falls. For the kids, they have 2 Kiddie Pools w/ slides and playground. After swimming, why not try to chill and dine at Cafe Cristina Bar and Resto, this is one of my favorite amenities of the villa, good food and ambiance! Feeling bored? Play unlimited billiards w/o any fee and for the singers, check out the KTV Rooms.
